Delayed FIT Reduction
Feed-in-Tariff reduction delayed
Feed -in-Tariff rates were due to be cut again on July 1st however, according to the department for Energy and Climate Change, the date for the proposed cuts has been postponed. Energy Secretary Ed Davey is expected to announced a new date for the cuts in the next few weeks, however he has reportedly told parliament that the adjustment "will be a tweak, not a massive change". For solar PV installations the current tariff is 21p per kWh and the proposed new rate will be 15.7p per kWh.
